Approval of the Agenda:
A motion was made by James Thompson and seconded by Jeff Ashmus to accept the agenda as presented. Motion carried.
Approval of the Minutes from March 15th 2008:
A motion was made by James Thompson and seconded by Jeff Ashmus to accept the minutes as presented. Motion carried.
Financial Report:
A motion was made by Mel Hinterlong and seconded by James Thompson to accept the Check Disbursement for March 2008. Motion carried. The Board also asked if the staff run a report for an account number 6000 and make a cut off date on the 1st of the month.
General Manager’s Report:
Buffet Breakfasts are being offered on Saturday and Sunday mornings, with Quick N Crispy foods later in the day. As Memorial Day approaches, there will be changes in the menu as well as the hours of operation.
All of the water is on throughout the Resort with the exception of the risers that are completely covered by the flooding Crawfish.
The Laundromat opened the first of April.
The staff is still working with our local bank setting up through our website an automatic debit of monthly dues. This would replace charging them to a credit card (which does cost the resort to do). We are hoping that it will be in place by early June.
House account application forms are now available. Beginning April 1st, 2008, the authorized charging will begin.
The Resort appraisal came in at $4,460,000. The last appraisal was in 1998 and appraised at $920,000.
Staff is working in converting the PR site location and a portion of the UDI block into Condominium lots that can be sold. We are working with our attorney, the County Zoning Administrators, and Milford Township so that this process will work itself through both legally and quickly.
We are working to try and receive a rural development loan through the USDA. We are working on obtaining a $1,000,000 loan to consolidate long term debt, pay all past due accounts payable, do all top priority repair and replacement projects including converting the PR lots to Condo Lots.
As the flood waters recede, staff will be patching roads, repair water risers, and create an out of bounds area at the top of the Observation Hill.
The seasonal hiring is going well. The pool of applications is the largest in 3 years. Hopefully, we will be able to hire more qualified and better trained employees for the summer.
The staff is trying to create an incentive for the local community to use the water park fully from Monday thru Fridays.
Committee Reports:
The Fund Raising Committee will have a meeting on Saturday May 3rd, at 2:00 PM. We will be deciding which projects that the committee wants to earmark the proceeds to.

New Business:
A motion was made by James Thompson and seconded by Jim Meinholz to approve the new deck construction next to the house at his expense and proper removal of all the tear offs, which is being donated by our lessee, Dick Strege. Motion carried.
A motion was made by James Thompson and seconded by Mel Hinterlong to approve for the staff to publish a notice on the abandoned trailers in the impound area. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mel Hinterlong and seconded by James Thompson to approve the notice to the all of the membership that there will be holding tank inspections during the last week of May and into the first week of June. These inspections will be done by A & S Plumbing from Watertown, which is a certified plumber. Motion carried.
